Follow Callie as she takes the reader on a visit to the Zoo with family on a fun day. You'll enjoy Camille curiously talking to the moon as he encourages her to read.
"Dream Benders" is a fairly new book celebrating moments growing up in the Farragut School neighborhood.

Sister Girls with long necks are entrenched in my art portfolio. These ladies were introduced at the St. Louis Art Fair in 2014. They represent my inner creative side that captured the stress and strain placed on my neck as a thyroid patient and cancer survivor. The stretching/elongation is represented in these ladies who moved past their challenges, and are now beautifully captured and adorned.

There are significant cultural and symbolic influences in my art renderings. On any day I can see feet dancing, hear the beat of the drum, and see the grasses waving.
The colors and elements of time past and today are represented in this collection. For example, "Afro Day in the Park" shows history, culture and people celebrating together.

Painting animals and observing their moves has been most intriguing. The St. Louis Zoo laid a foundation for my curiosities and interest in tails, feathers, habits and eyes. Unknowingly, I was drawn to creatures with long necks; peacocks, giraffes and zebras.
Some of these subjects allowed me to creatively make my own design and some are funny, cute and daring.

Deep within the grooves and swirls of life I've tried to colorize places that are hidden and bring them to life. Although many would blend well in a contemporary setting, they are soothing in a relaxing sort of way. Some colors are muted, others are bright and/or there might be a great explosion of movement in vibrant hues.
